The bankers of One Third congressional district will visit Americus at the Chamber of Commerce request to discuss cotton crisis solutions. W. C. Lawier of West Point, Georgia Bankers president, is expected to attend. A luncheon at the Windsor hotel and a Rotary luncheon with the chamber are planned as part of the visit.

Fire in Souther Field Barracks Nipped Quickly
A fire in Barracks B at Souther Field broke out at 8:50 this morning due to a draft in the furnace. An attendant smashed the partition with a fire ax and used a chemical extinguisher, alerting the post force which extinguished the blaze with little damage. The barracks house enlisted men.

Farmers urged to attend sumter cotton reduction meetings
Sumter county farmers are urged to attend Friday 3 pm pledge meetings at Plains Thompson Schoolhouse Americus Courthouse Andersonville Concord Leslie Hall Pleasant Grove School.
