Cutting affray in East Americus leaves two youths wounded

A feud between Grant Hawking and Daniel Franklin, both about seventeen, led to a morning attack as Hawkins returned with wood. Townman J North dies after illness at Brown House

Mr J D North died late yesterday afternoon at the Brown House after about three weeks of illness. He was highly regarded in the community, formerly stockkeeper in Americus of the Savannah Americus Montgomery line, and came from Albany to the city. The funeral will be at the Brown House at 4 o’clock, burial at Oak Grove cemetery. Lillian Lewis to appear as Leonora in Credit Lorraine on February 12 with a strong supporting company.
