The death of Henry A. Dayton Vice-Consul at Belgrade was reported by the State Department. Dayton was shot in Belgrade by a woman who then killed herself by slashing her wrist with a pocketknife. Born in Atlanta 1897 he graduated from Auburn Tig School and Hamilton College in 1917 and served in World War I before his July appointment.

Dee 8 Monroe Georgia a vast throng gathered at First Baptist Church for the funeral of Billington Sanders Walker father of Governor Clifford Walker.
