Savannah News reports receiver Comer will publish a full, clear statement on the Central railroad’s condition next month, outlining assets and debts. He dismisses talk of a receiver’s sale and promises protections for stock and bond holders while the reorganization plan is prepared.

While welcomed, many want a larger fire department with paid personnel. the amended proposal was dropped as absent members left the meeting. Married in New York Marguerite Belle Bass wed Dr Eugene Webster Davis in New York City.
Lieutenant Wick Wheeler and Officer Bill Feagin pursued Will Hammond a wanted man to a woman's house near the creek. Hammond lurched out slashing with a knife as Wheeler grabbed for his club. Feagin's uniform was cut and the fight ended when Wheeler knocked Hammond insensible with a blow. Hammond was bound over for assault with intent to murder and jailed after a hearing before Justice Oliver.
