Natchez Mississippi April 28. Vets of Two Wars Feast at Richland Memorial Day
About fifty of seventy one Confederate veterans from Stewart and Webster counties and many World War veterans from the two counties attended a joint Memorial Day event hosted by the Richland American Legion Auxiliary and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. A basket dinner filled a long table as families from Richland and distant corners gathered. A group photo followed by programs in the school auditorium featured Mrs. R. T. Humber Jr and Mrs. Harry M. Dixon, with Dr. McA. Roy delivering the main address. Veterans shared war anecdotes and an elderly veteran danced, ending with a patriotic quartet singing Dixie.

State Primary Set For Sept 13 In Georgia
The Georgia state Democratic executive committee rejected a labor and trades group repeal of the primary rule requiring candidates for Superior court judgeships to announce against a specific judge. Five Die After Auto Train Crash in White Oak Georgia
