Death Claims Geo W Israel at Sumter Home
George W. Israel, age 62, died at the family residence on Sumter Street after a two day illness caused by high blood pressure. Funeral services were held at Williams Cemetery with Rev. W L Murray officiating. Surviving are a widow Nancy Knightsrael, seven sons including Charles Jesse Floyd Alvin Israel, David Israel of Smithville, George Israel of Macon, Newet Israel of Columbus, five daughters and one sister. He was a long time Sumter county resident and active Primitive Baptist church member.
