Four Escape From Matteawan Prison Break

Stewart Laid to Rest at Ellaville
Funeral services for John Stewart were held at 3 o clock at the Ellaville Methodist Church with Rev. B L Jordan officiating. Burial followed in Ellaville cemetery. Surviving are widow Rebecca Downing and three daughters Ola Jordan Mrs William Daniel and Mrs Homer Dupree all of Schley county plus several grandchildren. Stewart, about 70, suffered paralysis late Tuesday and died hours later as a second stroke followed an earlier one. He belonged to Andrew Chapel Methodist Church and was highly regarded in Ellaville.
