Amarillo AAUW opens its fall year with a guest program by Frank Storm Jr. in Federation Club Rooms. Storm, who served as a US representative to Russia, outlines Soviet political control and lower living standards than the United States. A tea followed, controlled by hospitality chairmen and featuring a large attendance of club members and guests.
Am a rillo Pilot Club heard Mrs. J. S. Fischer discuss Business Women of England at a dinner meeting. Program directed by the constitution and by laws committee with Mrs. Hazel Miser as chairperson and assistance from Mrs. Faye Gordon. Frances Cyrus presided as president.
The Security Benefit Association met in a business session at 209 Blackburn Building with Mrs. Mazzie Truett presiding. A social was scheduled for Sept 29 at 8 o clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C B Alford at 816 Virginia.
