Coordination urged to unify transportation services nationwide
S T Bledsoe proposed coordinating all transport facilities to serve public needs and urged railroads to operate on equal terms with highways water and air. He called for a 6 percent earnings cap and reserve funding, rate realignments, non discriminatory intermodal regulation, canal access, and reduced government subsidies. The goal is to restore railroad credit and fund improvements.
