Acreage price records set near Roxana well in Carson county

New acreage price records were reported around the Roxana oil well in Carson county. Floyd Howarth et al of Tulsa paid 87,500 for 50 acres located 900 feet west of the well, while yesterday 80 acres sold at 1,000 an acre. The Roxana well reportedly yields about 56 barrels per hour and plans for a White Deer pipeline and storage tanks are under way.

Move On To Save Street Car Line For San Jacinto

City boosters press plan to retain trolley service as plans to pave Seventh Street from Amarillo to San Jacinto threaten the street car company. W. W. Lynch of Amarillo Improvement Co says buses would replace cars with a equal or better schedule and orders two large buses for San Jacinto. A committee may ask the city commission to preserve the street car service.

Plans for 14 story bank theater and office building

Fred W. Frost of San Antonio announced plans for a fourteen story structure at Ninth and Taylor streets. The $1,250,000 building includes a bank on the first floor with reserved space by capitalists from Eastland San Antonio and Dallas, a 2,000 seat theater, and offices. Construction planned to start by January 1.
