Three masked men robbed Friona Bank prompting a posse to form. The Mobile area faced a powerful hurricane gusting up to 96 mph with barometer readings around 29.06. The Texas Senate approved a blanket validation bill by a 22 to 0 vote to legalize road districts up to 100 million dollars after a Supreme Court Archer County bond decision. It authorizes bond issues and taxes for road district bonds and general ad valorem taxes, as 558 district bills move forward.
The Santa Fe announces a thirty mile branch from Panhandle to Isom in South Hutchinson County will start train service on Friday, October 1. Two stations Isom and Pomeroy are nearly complete, with ten miles through the Carson Hutchinson oil field.
