Union Trust Buys Last of Amarillo School Bonds
The final $100,000 of the Amarillo Independent School District bond issue, voted last January, was sold to Dallas Union Trust Company and C. W. McNear and Company for par plus a $2,620 premium. The sale, representing a little over 2 percent premium, follows earlier sales and brings the total premium and accrued interest savings to about $4,500. Board actions also included accepting three new school buildings, approving Forest Hill extras of $299.28, hiring three new teachers, and allocating remaining summer school funds to maintenance.
