D Andrea gets six months in pistol toting case

Phil D Andrea, gun toting bodyguard of Al Capone, was sentenced to six months in county jail by Judge James H Wilkerson for carrying a loaded pistol into federal court. He admitted daily possession of the weapon behind Capone during the trial for tax evasion. Capone remained jailed with bail denied awaiting Supreme Court action.

Stolen Car Found Near Dimmitt. Tack Motor Recovered

Police recovered Old Tack's stolen Graham-Paige sedan Tuesday, abandoned 12 miles from Dimmitt after theft Monday night. Keys remained in the vehicle and damage was minimal. Date for oil case hearing remains indefinite

Beaumont Texas October 28 The date for hearing Brocklee Oil Company's suit for permanent injunction to restrain enforcement of probation against wells in the East Texas field was left undecided at a conference between Federal Judge Randolph Bryant and attorneys. A continuance was granted when the case opened yesterday before a three judge Federal court. The company had secured a temporary injunction last week restraining military officials the railroad commission and the attorney general from enforcing proration rules.

High Court Affirms Conviction of Neal Cobb

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed Neal Cobb's conviction for violating liquor laws. Cobb, convicted in Potter County for the December 17, 1936 offense in Amarillo, was sentenced to one year in the penitentiary.

In Menard Texas Dr William Judd husband of Winnie Ruth Judd who is charged with murdering two Arizona women. He married 17 year old daughter of Mrs Dollie Colwell in Kimble County courthouse at Junction with Mrs Colwell as witness. They went to Phoenix where the bride died within a month and Judd claimed death due to acute indigestion and heart disease.

Judd's First Wife Death Linked to Narcotic Poisoning

Examination of records in Phoenix reveals that the first wife of Dr. William Judd, husband of Winnie Ruth Judd who is charged with killing Miss Hedvig Ramuelson and Mrs. Agnes Le Roi, died in July 1920 in Phoenix.
