Eleven Beeves To Be Canned In Amarillo Campaign
Amarillo officials plan a charity canning event Friday October 30 during the district convention of County and Home Demonstration agents. Eleven calves will be butchered canned and stored in the charity pantry to feed needy families this winter as 6000 cans of vegetables and fruits are already prepared for distribution. Mrs W E Gee chairs the effort with Potter County women volunteers aiding the project as chamber commerce provides cans.
