New Vision Devices Claim Reading Time Gains
The American Optical Company reports 3,000 tests on two eye devices, one to reveal vision faults and another to speed reading. Dr. Robert J. Beitel Jr. says employers may gain up to 25 percent efficiency, with 350 words per minute deemed efficient. Reading clinics exist at Yale, Columbia, NYU, Harvard, Dartmouth, Chicago, Peabody, Fordham, and the National College for Education as business leaders adopt the programs.
