Young Scholar Kathryn Vogel Leads Bright Future

Kathryn Vogel, a top straight A student for five years and valedictorian at grade school, is a junior in high school majoring in home economics. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, tennis, and stamp collecting, and she aspires to become a dietitian. She is the 15 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Vogel of 3301 West Tenth Avenue.

Kelso boy writes Ebird autobiography from Portland visit

During a Portland visit to his aunt in Oregon, 14 year old Charles Creek of Kelso Washington befriended a long–eared dog. He then wrote and illustrated a book titled Ebird featuring the dog as its hero and author writes about his youth activities.
