Hinton Road Meet Set for Rolla Missouri

National highway memorial association members along the eastern end of Will Rogers Highway will meet in Rolla Missouri on Wednesday October 26. Carl Hinton national president will be the principal speaker at the Rolla gathering hosted by M L Mook vice president for Missouri. A Ozarks tour will precede the rally ending with a dinner October 25 at Mooks caverns. Edwin Long Hotel in Rolla will serve as meeting headquarters.

Bromert Youth Hurl in Crash

Bromert a 19 year old rider from 3306 Van Buren Street was injured slightly in a crash at Twelfth Avenue and Jackson Street while riding a motorcycle north on Van Buren Street. Miss Robinett a teacher at Johnson Street school from 1114 Van Buren Street drove south and turned left at the intersection. Officers report the rider was not seriously hurt.

Rev. Hughson L. Green a 65 year old Baptist minister and uncle of Sgt. Fimner Green was fatally burned in Bakersfield California while carrying a tub of boiling paraffin. He fell and burned head to foot. Ernest Watts 24 a nephew of R R McMillan 34 North East Fourth Avenue is recovering in a Bakersfield hospital. The paraffin was to coat a tent in the minister's back yard.
