Toastmaster is B. B. Morton. presiding officer is William Raisch. A fellowship party starts at 6 p.m. and visitors toured the 6666 Ranch before a smorgasbord luncheon at the Amarillo Hotel.

All Palomino Show Winners Named at Tri State Fair
The All Palomino Show at the Tri State Fair Monday night crowned top horses from a three state area. Sally Goodin won the stallion class and Honey Boy, entered by Patty Radke, Tulsa, took top honors in the ladies barrel race. The bending race produced a three way tie for first between My Golden Lass and School Girl, with Sally Goodin and Sterling tied for second, while Honey Boy and Poe's Vaquero tied for third.

Wealthy Romanians Deprived of Citizenship by Decree
In Bucharest on October 5 a decree stripped a number of prominent Romanians of citizenship and confiscated their Romanian fortunes. Among the defendants is Nicolae Malaxa, head of the nation’s largest locomotive plant and sole tube factory, who has resided in New York for two years. Accused of anti state activity and illegal border crossings, others named include Mrs Blanche Gafencu, wife of ex Foreign Minister Grigore Gafenu, and Lucian Gafenu and his wife.

City Welcomes Navajo Girl Begay to Tri-State Fair
Florence Iva Begay a 17 year old Navajo from Flagstaff arrives with her father Julius Begay for a two day visit to the Tri-State Fair. Kleberg Shows Steers and Talks Politics at Tri State Fair
Richard M. Kleberg known as Dick visited Amarillo for the Tri State Fair. He shipped six Santa Gertrudis steers, first of their breed shown in the Panhandle, to the Livestock Building. The six animals average about 2100 pounds each after 600 days on full feed. He also praised the all girl rodeo act at the event.

Victim of Houston Blaze Identified
The body of a 52 year old book salesman Joseph Page was identified as the victim of a Houston rooming house fire that began in his room. Twelve other residents escaped unharmed. The blaze erupted early yesterday in a frame house.

Lone gunman robs Malone State Bank for up to eighteen thousand
A masked robber entered Malone State Bank in Texas at about 11 35 am demanding hundred dollar bills. He forced E M Mann assistant cashier Mrs Weldon Kaddatz and customer Billy Gelpmeir into the vault and took as much as 15 000 to 18 000 before fleeing in a black Ford sedan. Police set up road blocks as the town of 500 watches for the suspect described as 40 to 45 years old.
