Thomas Columbus Carnes, 64, longtime Globe-News typographical worker and linotype operator, died at 2:35 this morning at his home 852 North Jackson after a sudden heart attack. He joined the Globe-News union in 1918, began in printing at 15, and previously worked in Roswell and Artesia.
