Dr Bernand Lizotte of Levis Quebec, age 33, saltbushes two Arctic summers aboard the government icebreaker N B McLean. He recalls treating a blood poisoning case by wireless and performing a successful appendectomy at sea with improvised instruments. He learned Eskimo and dentistry while in the Arctic and now signs on with the passenger ship Lady Somers for warmer climes.

Moving Mountain At Elysian Park Finishes Activity

Los Angeles officials report the Elysian Park cliff has apparently ceased moving after a nightlong slide that sent about 1,000,000 tons of earth trees and rocks across Riverside Drive into the Los Angeles River bed. Geologist Dr J P Buwalda says the danger seems over and officials plan highway repairs at an estimated cost between 300000 and 500000 dollars.

Two Hold Up Bank and Escape With $14,000

Two men robbed the Citizens Bank of Springfield in Missouri and escaped with about 13 000 to 14 000 dollars. They fled in a coupe that sideswiped a milk truck two miles from the city and seized a pickup belonging to E. T. Page, a grocer, who had stopped at the crash scene.

Aunt Rescues Boy From enraged Bull in Ohio

George Zeis, 18, was knocked down and trampled by a bull but saved by his aunt Mrs. Blanche Burd who drove the animal off with a pitchfork. Zeis suffered severe bruises and a fractured rib.
