Forest Hill HDC Hosts Thanksgiving Luncheon at Home
Forest Hill Home Demonstration Club members gathered for a Thanksgiving luncheon at Mrs. T. J. Buntin's home in North Nelson. Pauline Lakey, Potter County home demonstration agent, spoke on pressure cookers and pastry making. Attendees included Mesdames Davis, McPherson, Rodgers, Lyon, Clark, Henry, and Miss Lakey. The next meeting will be a Christmas party December 20 at 8 o'clock at Mrs. Lyon's home on North Buchanan.

The Trio Division No. 300 of GIA to the B of L E met at TOOF Hall with Ida Walker presiding. Attendees planned a Dec 10 covered-dish luncheon and Pollyanna party at IOOF Hall, followed by officer elections at 2 30. Veterans seek to buy surplus mine detectors to aid a buried pirate gold search.

WSCS Study Continues India Lesson at Buchanan Street Church
Buchanan Street Methodist Church Woman's Society of Christian Service continued the study of India at the Tuesday afternoon session in the church parlor. Mrs. J. R. Moore presided, with Mrs. C. C. Crist leading the lesson and presenting a devotional. Next week the group meets again Wednesday at 2 30 in the church parlor.
