Dr. Edgar Young Mullins, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, died at noon following a stroke on November 10. The 68 year old denominational leader had been unconscious for most of the illness, with physicians reporting little hope from the start.

Judge A. H. Carrigan of Wichita Falls has resigned from the Texas state prison board, Gov. Dan Moody announced. The governor said no successor had been appointed and he did not know the reason for the resignation.
