The First Presbyterian Church choir presents a Thanksgiving music concert Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Soprano soloist Gloria Cooke of Goodwell Oklahoma, a student of Howard Dill, has appeared in Amarillo previously.
In Hurlock Maryland police failed to prove William Cobb stole 10 bushels of corn from his employer and charged him with illegal use of squeezings. He was freed in court but a federal agent arrested him on charges of running an illegal sstu, with travel planned to Minneapolis for a National Council on the Social Studies event.
Bach cantata O Praise the Lord for All His Mercies and Williams Festival Te Deum will be presented. Mrs. Cooke Mr. Dill Mrs. Maynard Drake and Dick Gifford are the cantata soloists. A flute quartet from the Amarillo Symphony will be featured. The public is invited to attend.
