Winners Named in Amarillo Library Essay Contest
Judges announced top prizes for the library essay contest on What the Amarillo Public Library Means to This Community. Robert Parks, 17, Amarillo High School senior, won 25 dollars. Dorothy Cathey, 14, Elizabeth Nixon Junior High School ninth-grader, won 10 dollars. Prizes to be awarded at an open house next Wednesday evening at Amarillo Public Library, with sponsors Amarillo Friends of the Library.
