King Named Secretary of Trade Work
Mason King was chosen to run the extension program of Amarillo territory trade development and Rolla Townsend was hired as assistant manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Board of City Development. King will oversee the new department and assist with operating a trade trip train to Spearman Clinton and Pampa next week. Sixty four of eighty five reservations have been made for the trip. About 600 members have joined the organization since Monday morning with expectations of reaching 800 by Saturday night. The next directors meeting is set for the second Thursday in June.

Funeral for Mrs Sayers in Dallas Today
Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Sayers, 20, shot to death by her husband here, will be held in Dallas at 3 p.m. today. The body was sent to Dallas this morning for burial at Westland Memorial Park. Sayers turned the gun on himself after the tragedy. The couple formerly lived in Houston.
