Paul Kelly Sentenced in Raymond Death Case

Paul Kelly a screen juvenile was sentenced by Judge Charles Burnell to 1 to 10 years in San Quentin for the killing of Ray Raymond a musical comedy star. The sentence followed a denied motion for a new trial after a jury of eight women and four men convicted Kelly of manslaughter. Sixteen Die In Storm Across Virginia Tennessee Kentucky

A severe storm Sunday night and Monday brought heavy rain hail and wind to Virginia Tennessee and Kentucky. At least sixteen people died and more than twenty were missing as property damage was estimated at one million dollars. Plans on North Amarillo Viaduct Drawn

City engineers have drawn plans for every street leading to North Amarillo where a viaduct may be built. City Manager Jeff Bartlett says no site decision yet but work is underway toward an early settlement and construction may begin soon with cooperation from the North Amarillo Civic club and local residents.
