Thief damages plane as he attempts to flee field

Lieut Robt H Gray reports a thief smashed a Canuck training plane at Bivins field three miles northwest of the city Sunday morning. The thief raced the aircraft along the ground, damaged the propeller and one strut but did not take off. Police detectives are on the case as Gray and others surveyed the scene.

Texans Rally In Ninth To Overtake Amarillo Opener

In a dramatic ninth inning Amarillo led 2 0 before Wichita’s Handley Wells Lisle and Adams sparked a four run rally. Connorlys sac fly tied the game and Lisle scored on a late hit to win as Clark shut the visitors down. Crowd of 1100 watched a book style finish.

Fingerprint expert W. J. Finn testified that prints on the Fred Conner car window match Robert Blake, now on trial for murder in the Conner killing near Kress Texas in July 1925. Lindbergh Ends European Tour on Return to United States

Capt Charles A Lindbergh announced the European tour has ended and he will fly to Paris to bid farewell before heading to New York. He may sail on a liner or warship, and would prefer flying back to the United States if possible. Trial of Ben Stratton Delayed in Omweder Shooting Case
