Amarillo Prepares D-Day Clean-Up Drive Citywide

Amarillo residents gear up for a June 10 cleanup sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce civic affairs committee led by BH. S. McCray. Volunteers, block teams, and truck crews are being organized to clear trash citywide and surrounding areas while businesses may close mid-day to aid efforts. Unauthorized roadside dumping is discouraged as the campaign targets comprehensive waste removal. Separately, Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien report Taffy bitten by a rattlesnake and taken to a veterinarian on Western Street.
