Lindbergh Light to Beacon Chicago Skyward
The Lindbergh Light arial beacon will rise atop the Palmolive Building in Chicago, delivering 2,000,000,000 candle power and a beam visible to aviators up to 500 miles away. Inventor Elmer Sperry funds the $100,000 tower and light, with President Hoover urged to activate it from the White House.
