Three youths missing after White Rock Lake boat capsizes
Searchers in motor boats dragged White Rock Lake near Dallas for the bodies of three youths believed drowned after a rowboat with four aboard capsized Monday night. The missing are Clifford Hall 19 Roy Gross 10 Albert McGuire 17. Guy Watson 17 was rescued by a fisherman who heard cries for help.

Police Chief H L Gaither says Captain Lee Miller misrepresented facts to the mayor and city manager. Largest Civic Event Of Kind Planned at Field Here Tomorrow
Amarillo prepares for a major airport celebration with Western Air Express and Texas Air Transport Company officials expected to attend. The first regular Western Air Express plane is due to land at the municipal airport around 2 pm, with other visiting planes to arrive near the same time. City and business leaders plan a 6 pm dinner at the Amarillo Hotel and invite aviation officials from Wichita and Tulsa. Weather forecasts warn of possible thunder showers, but runways have been oiled and the field can handle landings in most conditions. A crowd of 4 000 to 5 000 is expected to greet the first regular ship, marking Amarillo as a new air hub. Funeral for Amarillo contractor George Parr set Thursday
George Parr 60, a leading Amarillo civic worker and Panhandle contractor, died yesterday afternoon after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. R. Thomeen officiating. Parr organized Amarillo’s Associated General Contractors and chaired Panhandle Building projects. He was a Lions Club member, Woodmen of the World, and served on church elder boards. He had work offices in Panhandle Lumber building and held stock in local firms.

In Martinsburg West Virginia a mother Clara Manford 39 and her three children Elizabeth 11 Fanny 10 and John Jr 8 were found dead in their home from gas escaping from stove jets. Police believe she killed the family after brood over her mother's death. Stepchildren Pearl and Ethie Manford were sleeping upstairs undisturbed.
