Extend Time for Adjusted Compensation Extension
The American Legion warns World War I veterans in the state to apply for Adjusted Compensation certificates before January 2, 1930 to avoid financial loss for themselves and dependents. Post commander Mill M. Benton notes the act, enacted May 19, 1924, provides pay per day for home and overseas service, with a cash value and 20 year payout. An extension to January 2, 1930 was authorized by a 1927 amendment, but no further extension is anticipated.
