Dr George W Belcher staff physician at Cleveland clinic died from poisonous gas after two explosions last Wednesday. He was the 125th victim and the seventh physician to die from fumes generated by burning x ray films in a basement store room. He specialized in bladder diseases and led research in his field. Four others remain in critical condition and Henry W Lustig, a patient, is not expected to live.
Miss Margie Neal of Carthage becomes president pro tem of the Texas Senate. It marks the first time a woman holds the post. If both governor and lieutenant governor are absent, Neal would serve as acting governor.
