W D DeGrassi Amarillo post master was elected national president of the Third United States Voluntary Engineers at a St Louis convention. The telegram from Luther E Smith congratulated him as unanimously chosen. DeGrassi served with the unit in 1898-99 and Cuban campaign participation was noted.

Denver Hosts Fifth International 87 Highway Convention
The fifth annual International 87 Highway Association convention will meet at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver from June 11 to 18. A. B. Davis, the U S manager from Lubbock, urged attendees to reserve early, with reservations handled by the Denver Convention and Visitors Bureau. A regulation ice hockey rink is 200 feet long and 85 feet wide.
