Torrential rain interrupted traffic in parts of Houston early today. By 9 a m the downpour stopped and 3.16 inches had been recorded, with over an inch falling in about two hours.

The grand jury, led by A DAs Boynston and Davis, investigates conspiracy cases and mail fraud. Judge James C. Wilson presides as citizenship petitions and naturalization applications are heard this afternoon.
