Texas rationing chief Mark Mc Gee urged bus firms to cut extra and special trips to save tires and tubes and to obey Roosevelt's 40 mile per hour limit. He banned chartered party services for advertising or sightseeing and urged pooling among operators to reduce trips. He warned against out of town trucking by bakeries and laundries and said tires may be denied if requests are not handled.
