Potter County's delegates to the state Democratic party convention will be named at the county parley at 7 30 o'clock this evening. The convention will be held in 4th district court room. The state delegates will be chosen from representatives named at precinct conventions last Saturday. The state convention will be held at Waco May 28 to name delegates to the national convention.
Two people were wounded by shell shrapnel from anti aircraft fire directed at two German planes over the Paris region last night. Local officials reported the incident and described the attack as part of ongoing air operations.
At the Travis County Democratic convention in Austin on May 7 the Roosevelt Garner truce was kept. The white rose proposal for Roosevelt supporters was ruled out of order as Mayor Tom Miller was elected county chairman and declined to present the proposal.

New Mexico reports high cloudiness with little temperature change. The 24 hour extremes show a maximum of 90 and a minimum of 56, with noon at 67.
Texas Attorney General Gerald C. Mann announced a special anti trust proceeding in Houston to probe possible violations by building trades and union groups. About seventy witnesses were subpoenaed with more to be called as needed. The inquiry follows complaints from craftsmen and businessmen assessing whether lawful labor organizing crossed anti trust lines.

The school board closed all schools as investigators piece together the assault on South Pasadena High and South Pasadena Junior High.
The House judiciary committee voted 14 to 11 to revive the Hatch political practices bill and proceed with it. Rep. Dempsey led a push to lift the measure from the table, with President Roosevelt endorsing the bill and the Senate already approving it.
The U S Treasury today removed penalties on most Italian silk goods in response to State Department requests to improve Italo American relations.
