Conoco Agents Preview 1940 Mile Dial Campaign
Conoco mileage merchants and agents from the Panhandle gathered at the Amarillo Hotel for a dinner and a preview of the 1940 summer advertising plan. C. C. Meetze and P. R. Erdwinn led the event highlighting a new device called the Mile Dial, a slide rule type tool to compute exact mileage from gasoline purchases. The Mile Dial will be distributed in Amarillo starting about May 15.

Amarillo Delegation Plans Plainview March and Show
Amarillo will dispatch a delegation to Plainview next Wednesday for a march and daily show. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and organized by N. P. Nelson contact man, the group includes the Sons of Legion drum and bugle corps and the American Legion’s streamlined train among other features.

Junior Philharmonic Broadcast at Paramount Theater
Pifty three members of the Junior Philharmonic Orchestra gave a 30 minute concert last night on the Paramount Theater stage. Fifteen minutes of the concert were broadcast at 9 15 over KGNC. John Ballard, KGNC manager, arranged the concert and broadcast.
