Public backs aid to China drive gains support
Col Blucher Tharp heads the United Service to China funds campaign citing a Gallup poll showing about two thirds of those surveyed view Chinese aid as important. In March 35 percent called aid very important, 28 percent fairly important, 28 percent not so important, and 9 percent did not know. The Potter County goal is 4500 dollars with a state target around 250000 dollars, Earl May reports. May travels from Austin to Amarillo for two weeks to aid the drive.
