Dangerous Animals Are Filmed in Color at Esquire Theater
A color-filled feature titled African Safari screens next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Esquire Theater. Bill Franklin of Amarillo narrates the documentary showing a 100-pound tusked elephant, a wounded Cape buffalo, a lion feasting on a zebra, and a ton-weight rhino. Franklin, a 1949 Amarillo High School graduate, led the six month expedition across East Africa with local guides and a specialized safari team. The screening is sponsored by The Globe News and the Panhandle Outdoor Sportmen's Club with 60 cent matinee and 1.25 evening tickets. Tickets available at local sporting and camera shops.
