Buried in Gravel Survivor Rescued After Slide

Coleman dispatch reports John Watson age 22 survived thirty minutes buried by a gravel slide on Hard Creek. City workers freed him and he died after reaching his home. Watson was the son of J W Watson.

Negro Slayer Hangs Self in Illinois Jail

Six Hurt When Pampa Stage Goes In Ditch

Six persons were injured Monday night when a large auto coach driven by Joe Bowers Jr skidded and overturned on the Miami road about ten miles east of Pampa. Bowers suffered a broken shoulder and cuts while others including Clarence Olson Carl Cooper Rena McElwain Crystal Barris and Miss Marie Renotte sustained multiple injuries. All victims were brought to the hospital in Pampa for emergency treatment.

Two Argentinans Held on Shoplifting Charge

Police say two Argentinan men boarded a daylight raid on Bone's Economy Dress shop at 213 East Fourth Street. One man allegedly slugged a saleswoman who sounded the alarm as merchandise was taken. The pair were charged with theft and handed to county officials after officers found a stash of goods in their apartments.
