Police announced recovery of two wheels and tires taken Sunday night from Dale Smith’s car in front of the Smith home at 2121 Hayden Street. Local draft boards rush to set order numbers for the latest selective service registration. The Washington lottery will determine the order for about 9 million men. Each board assigns serial numbers and then adjusts to match its own registered count after the draw.
Final arrangements for the Am arillo Chamber of Commerce annual banquet are under way. The Herring Hotel will host about 800 guests with Hal Brown as banquet chair. Tickets expected at $1. The United States and Colombia signed a lend-lease agreement on March 17 covering war material valued at about 20 to 30 million dollars. The accord aims to reinforce Colombia's role as a strategic ally due to its proximity to the Panama Canal.

He cites intelligence of a district chiefs of staff meeting in Manchukuo and says Russians remain alert to the threat.
