Health Conditions in Amari Show Modest Gains in 1938 Report

An annual Amari Amarillo health report shows 1938 mortality and morbidity improvements over 1937. Death rate fell to 85, cases of diphtheria and scarlet fever declined, measles and tuberculosis deaths noted, heart disease deaths dropped from 114 to 67, and infant deaths remained high at 170 for the year.
