Record crowd to witness 13th AAU indoor championships

Burnet County Approves Beer in Special Election

An unofficial count shows Burnet County voting 182 to 656 in a Saturday special election to legalize the sale of 32 percent beer. The town of Burnet supported beer nearly two to one, while most other areas stayed dry due to precinct local option in the county.
