Rogers Backs School Bill

Amarillo schools would get about 151000 dollars in federal aid if Senate Bill 1313 passes. Supt. Charles M. Rogers urged Amarillo residents to write Senators Connally and O Danial to support the bill, which would provide aid without federal control and let states and local authorities set plans. Texas would receive 22890500 annually, about 1432 per child, reflecting 5.36 percent of U S children and 3.25 percent of personal income.
