Worley charges Panhandle gas price discrimination
Rep. Eugene Worley accuses Panhandle gas producers and the OPA of price discrimination by freezing 1.2 cent per thousand cubic feet gas for carbon black plants in the Panhandle while other fields sell for up to 5.5 cents. He says the Defense Supplies Corp buys Panhandle carbon black at 3.3 cents and sells to rubber industry at higher prices, costing taxpayers millions.
