Honest Men Can Rout Gangs Mitchell Says
Attorney General Mitchell says federal success against Al Capone shows gang leaders can be eliminated with honest men on the job. He notes the justice department will target the gang problem where it is most noxious but has no nationwide drive planned for larger cities. He adds federal action is regular, but locals must handle most cases, though Chicago’s example should inspire local authorities.
