Pair Fined on Assault Count

Two youths Grady Linn and Meank Langley paid fines for aggravated assault in County court this morning. A third member of the party was released without county charges. Police arrested them about 1:30 AM on a complaint by the girl who testified she was held and struck with a belt. the other boy remained in a car nearby. The group had allegedly bought beer near the fair grounds and drove about ten miles out Claude road. The girl, who lives with an aunt at a camp ground on East Tenth Street, was brought to town by a passing motorist.

D Autremont Twins Headed to Oregon Murder Trial

Roy and Raymond D Autremont left Columbus for Jackson County Oregon to face four charges of murder stemming from a mail car robbery attempt. They were under guard of Sheriff Ralph G Jennings and deputies with two postal inspectors. The trio previously arrested in Steubenville after a four year federal police search.

Woman Faces New Charges in Stratton Murder Case

In Amarillo district court a new pandering charge was added to Mrs. Ben W. Stratton amid jury selection for her murder trial. Youth Hanged for Murder of Mailman

Joe Chesnas aged 22 was hanged in Harrisburg Indiana for the murder of William Ansell a mail carrier killed last August 8. The city notes include a local advertising fragment about a hotel and a Panhandle market promotion at 1200 Polk.
