Lightning Strikes Dallam Farmer Found Dead in Truck
Special to The Globe Alhart June 10. Tom White a well known Dallam County farmer was found dead in his truck in a field near Conlon after a late Monday afternoon lightning strike. The bolt tore his sleeve and ripped his shoe from his left foot as he plowed. His wife located the body in a truck with several empty gasoline barrels after a storm that dumped 1.45 inches of rain. Funeral services are expected in Dalhart tomorrow.

First permanent Tri-State Fair building to start soon
Potter County commissioners awarded a $22 034 contract to Albert L Randall for a brick and tile 120 by 150 foot fireproof show room on steel frame. Woman slain and daughter wounded in Wichita Falls
