Father Son Luncheon Program in Amarillo Optimist Club
The Amarillo Optimist Club will host a father and son luncheon Wednesday at noon in the Mexican Inn. The program includes magic acts by Harvey Gaddis, a talk by Dick Bivins, and a vocal solo “Boys' Mine” by Wendell Henry with Colby Davies on piano. The event is timed for Father's Day, Sunday June 16. Marie Rogers will head the Athletic Association. Marcella Rogers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse A. Rogers, is a French Club and Bit and Spur Club member. Ruth Marie Rogers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. M. Rogers, has been active in tennis, basketball, softball, swimming, hockey and volleyball this past year.
