Chief H L Gaither says Harmon's brother in law O W Webb and Tom C Menick led the mid night Fox Drug store robbery. Webb and Menick arrested in Wichita and jailed on robbery with firearms charges. Webb tied to Lee Berry hold up at stockyards with $600. Harmon dismissed for not acting. Local store managers identified Webb and Menick. an A G Goforth confession is said to implicate them.
Widespread rainfall broke a months long drought across the Panhandle with two inch totals in Spearman and Shamrock and over an inch in Slaton and Littlefield.
